Chiropractic treatments

Our chiropractic techniques are tried-and-true, effective, responsible, and organic. We use simple, gentle, and non-invasive treatments that get results quickly.

Chiropractic adjustments

A compromised spine can affect the entire body and impact just about anywhere, including the hips and neck, or even cause headaches.

Chiropractic adjustments offer alignment and balance to the spine or extremities. These adjustments provide relief from discomfort and allow the body to function at its fullest, most dependable state. There are several techniques used to achieve this desired result.

What to expect after your treatment

In many cases, our patients’ symptoms are gone within a few weeks of their specific treatment program. Every patient is different, and it’s important to understand that your follow-through is key to your success. We always provide ongoing care techniques that will contribute to your health and well-being. Using our take-home exercises, you will have the ability to get stronger on your own time and at your own pace.

Sometimes treatments require more in-office services than the norm, and we often ask our patients back in for follow-up visits to reassure everyone that the healing process is running smoothly and on track. Ongoing visits are usually for those involved in sports, want to be proactive with continued care, or have more severe injuries.

Sports chiropractic care

While we have patients who come in all ages, levels of athleticism, and backgrounds, our team works with several sportspeople intent on reaching that higher goal. We take this challenge seriously and personally. Helping those who want their bodies at their peak is a privilege, and we aim to succeed.

We help sports people suffering from a sports-related injury, in need of sports rehabilitation, as well as those who want to improve their body’s performance. Some of our patients include:

  • Those who have been hurt in the gym
  • Those who lift weights
  • Those looking to improve and get to the next level
  • Those preparing for an event
  • Those injured during an event
  • Those who just completed an event
  • College and high school athletes
  • Runners
  • Triathletes
  • CrossFit members
  • Golfers

  • And, more

Don’t let your next event get away from you; we want you to succeed, and we know how to push you to the next level.

Our patients visit us for a multitude of reasons; some are in severe pain while others have sporadic discomfort.

Every patient is different and requires a unique plan that they feel confident in.

Some of the most common reasons for a patient to visit our office include:

  • Back and lower back pain
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Wrist pain and ankle pain
  • Hip pain
  • Loss of range of motion
  • Tingling or numbing sensations
  • Shooting, sharp, or dull pain
  • And, more

Our professionals will help minimize your discomfort at its core, never hiding it behind quick-fix measures but getting to the root of the cause and finding a remedy. This allows the body to heal itself organically and rids your body of irritation that often shows itself as pain.

Let our Oregon City chiropractors provide quality care for any of these prevalent issues:

  • Sport or athletic injury or soreness
  • Repetitive activity aggravation
  • Poor posture
  • Pain due to a sedentary lifestyle
  • Post-surgery pain or discomfort
  • Pain caused by an accident
  • Preventative care for body wellness
  • And, much more

We take great pride in helping you get the life you want, and we’ll put the time in to ensure that happens. We can’t achieve our goals until you achieve yours. It’s a team effort, and we take your body’s performance just as seriously as you do.

Should I see a chiropractor?

This is a great question, and we often receive phone calls to our office asking it. If you’re considering a visit to the chiropractor, we say go for it. Chiropractors offer gentle yet effective techniques that provide various benefits to the body.

Depending on the nature and severity of your injury, a chiropractor may be able to provide natural care, allowing the body to self-heal and deter the need for complicated surgeries and unsafe, addictive, masking medications.

When the body is already in distress, avoiding unnecessary, stressful surgery is in the patient’s best interest. Chiropractic care not only allows for little to no downtime like you’d need after surgery, but you also receive numerous advantages, such as:

  • Non-invasive, safe care
  • A faster return to your everyday routine
  • Quicker healing at its root
  • Strengthening and rehabilitative guidance
  • Positive reinforcement for a natural, healthy lifestyle
  • Less financial burden

The care we provide at Function Performance is geared toward each individual. While all of our patients get a personalized wellness plan, every program ensures that body balance and wellness are restored. Some of our approaches provide immediate relief from discomfort, aligning the body so it can perform as it is meant to.

Pain is designed to inform your brain that your body is in a state of torment. When this happens, seeking a chiropractor’s help can reduce your pain significantly, using the most natural means.

Often this is done through spinal or extremity adjustments. A spinal manipulation is an excellent way to safely diminish your back and neck pain and get your mobility and range of motion where they should be.

When an extra burden is put on joints and ligaments, they end up supporting more than they were made to; this can cause serious injury, and that injury is likely to spread if not taken care of.

We recommend calling our office for an appointment if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Ongoing (chronic) or sharp pain in your back, neck, shoulders, or hips
  • Extreme lumbar or lower back pain
  • Extremity pain (pain in your arms, hands, legs, ankles, feet)
  • Radiating pain from your back into your legs or arms
  • Severe weakness in any area of your body
  • Tingling, numbness, redness in any area of your body

These symptoms can worsen drastically if not appropriately treated. When we first start to feel discomfort, we may assume it will just go away, but if not treated, other parts of the body will take on the injured area’s load by overcompensating. We may feel good for a bit when this happens, but doing so, encourages an unsafe, unhealthy body.

Our chiropractors will target the problem, find a reliable remedy, and your discomfort will fade. The reasons to visit our office are plenty:

  • Pain and discomfort management
  • Rehabilitation
  • Stress reduction
  • Balance
  • Safe, specific wellness treatments
  • Proactive care for overall good health
